Head chopped off by sythe

without computer sfx, how would any of you guys show someones head being chopped in two with a sythe...i was thinking hollow out a mellon and put red stuff inside....any thoughts...

We did a good one when I was at Uni by wiring a hoodie with a coathanger and putting a bloodfilled balloon inside it. We filmed it from behind for that "Shot in the face, enormous spurt of blood." effect. Worked really well (I think), we popped the balloon by using a BB gun.

I can?t wait until tomorrow because the most amazing thing is going to happen! I am going ice-skating. I?ve never been ice-skating before; I hope it will not be too cold. Mum says that the ice is only thin and that I can?t possibly fall through because there?s a concrete floor underneath. I believe Mum because she never lies to me, not like Matthew. Matthew tells lots of lies; like when he told me that if I concentrated really hard that it was possible to fly. But when I tried it, I just fell off the garage roof and broke my leg and it really hurt. Our garage scares me, it smells funny and there are spiders in the corners. I don?t go in there without Dad. Matthew is not coming ice-skating because he has to go to work. Can you believe that? On a Saturday? I don?t have to go to work, but Matthew does because he is older than me. He?s like 30 years old! I?m only 27. I need to buy some gloves so that if I fall over on the ice then my hands will not get frozen.

thanks guys...this project has been put to a back seat right now as we are working on a political mockumentary bu this is one we are quite pummped for....its a sequal to one we did a couple years ago...
